Mission work for me started about 15 years ago when me and my son Douglas started going to the Dominican Republic every year on medical missions. Later my daughter Emilie also joined me and brought her where she is today joining me in the medical field as she begins her journey in med school. God has always given me the heart to serve others no matter what capacity. As soon as I heard about the devastation the hurricane brought to WNC I knew I had to go. God started opening doors and still continues to move mountains so I can continue to be his hands and feet. While others have carried the financial burden for me by the generous donations I have received we have been able to provide close to 20 RV’s, warm clothing, food, and amazing Christmas party for the children of Swannanoa with lots of gifts and laughter, as well as propane and fuel to continue to keep people warm throughout the winter. My mission is not done here and won’t be until God says I am done. He has laid it on my heart to continue to serve in the future when the needs arise and he tells me to go I will go. “How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”” Isaiah 52:7 NKJV God Bless you all!
